So even if no one can claim you're mispronouncing it without in fact being a pretentious jackass, we can all legitimately tease you for being lazy.

Not that this article is particularly political, but it is kind of sticking it to the pretentious liberals who like to mock out president's speech patterns (or lack thereof).

Because there have been a number of things that I thought were funny that I didn't post because I didn't want to upset my conservative brethren. Hmmmmm... I have a great comic about wiretaps from the last few weeks. I may have to post it now!
 

I'd say you can post something political if the primary point of the thing isn't political. This essay/article/blog post thing is interesting because of the linguistic and anti-pretension aspects, if anything, I thought the bush-basher-bashing detracted from it. So I'd say if your wire-tapping comic is funny in a universal way, not just an anti-current administration way, go for it.

And laziness is a perfectly good reason to do linguistic things. Whore.
